Cultishly revered film adaptation of the rock opera by The Who, focusing on the life of a misunderstood mod in 1960s London.

Jimmy is a mod body and soul. As long as he can ride his Lambretta in his parka and dance heavily on pills with his friends to the latest soul singles, he forgets about his inferior job and his hated parents. He dreams of ending up with the pretty Steph. Together, the mods head to Brighton to see their idol Ace and make love to the rockers. In the heat of the moment, Jimmy makes love to Steph in a backyard on top of garbage cans. The next day, she's with someone else. Ace turns out to be a hypocrite. For Jimmy, the world comes crashing down.
Without nostalgic transfiguration staged generation portrait with excellent actors, inspired by the eponymous album of the rock group "The Who".
